The Sage Colleges welcomes Jonathan Gradess to its Troy campus on Constitution Day, Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Gradess is executive director of the New York State Defenders Association (NYSDA), a not-for-profit, membership organization which has been providing support to New York's public defense community since 1967. Its mission is to improve the quality and scope of publicly supported legal representation to low income people.

Green will replace Dan Lundquist who had been serving in the role since 2007 and retired from Sage in May.

TROY & ALBANY, NY – The Sage Colleges will kick off opening week with community beautification projects in Troy and Albany. More than 300 students will participate in the 6th annual “Sage Engaged” program. The community service projects are part of their college orientation and will take place on Friday, August 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Summer Art + Design program at Sage is now in its 28th year. Twenty-six students from 12 local high schools participated in this summer’s program. The intensive studio art and design program is developed for students in grades 9-12 who are committed to art and learning from professional artists. It affords students an opportunity to explore their interests, enhance their skills and expand their horizons in a concentrated, hands-on learning experience.

The Sage Colleges is saddened to announce the passing of Jim Richard Wilson, Director Emeritus of the Opalka Gallery. He was well known in the Capital Region art community and beyond. Wilson passed away Sunday morning at age 61.
