SUMMARY
Over thirty years of varied experience in the arts professions as administrator, curator, lecturer, writer, and artist in both the public and private sectors.

CURRENT POSITION
THE SAGE COLLEGES, Albany & Troy, NY (1992-present)

GALLERY DIRECTOR/LECTURER _ plan and mount four to six exhibitions a year, administer budget, teach one Art History course per academic year, act as liaison to the greater Albany cultural institutions, Divisional and Institutional committees and activities.
SELECTED SIGNIFICANT EXHIBITIONS INITIATED:
New York School: Another View, a re-examination of Abstract Expressionism. This exhibit included 39 works by as many artists. The included artworks were borrowed from 19 lenders. The majority of included pieces were created between 1956 and 1965. The exhibit was also accompanied by a 68 page catalogue reproducing nearly all of the exhibited work with essays by Terence Diggory, Ann Eden Gibson, Esther Tornai Thyssen and Jim Richard Wilson.
Val Telberg/Anas Nin: House of Incest, featured in first International Conference on Anas Nin held at Southampton College of L.I.U. Traveled nationally via Visual Studies Workshop.
LLAVE: A Key to the Secret, first major project on Sephardic experience and expression in the New World. Included multiple presentations and performances. Served as resource for University of Almera, Spain. Catalogue requested by Library of Congress.
Inferno: Shopping in America, an exhibition of pin-hole photographs by Warren Padula exploring the nature, environment and experience of commodity acquisition in contemporary society. Traveled nationally following its Albany debut.
Messages from the Interior, an exhibit of contemporary abstract paintings, drawings and sculpture. Traveled extensively for three years in the Northeastern United States.
Passion (1994) Hope (1995), national juried art and poetry exhibitions, in collaboration with Suffolk Community College, each producing major catalogues.
Jewish Farming Communities of Northeastern New York, first major project to focus on Jewish agricultural movement and communities in this region of the U.S. Catalogue requested by the Library of Congress and more than a dozen Universities and Museums.
A Place By The Sea, exhibition of four African_American abstract artists with ties to the Eastville Community. Traveled to Christiane Neinabar Contemporary Art, NYC, and Arlene Bujese Gallery, East Hampton, NY. Catalogue requested by the Library of Congress.
An American Shtetl; Jewish History & Community in Troy, NY, exhibition, publication, oral presentation on this significant community. Catalogue requested by the Library of Congress.
