and their extensive network of academic and community partners who are recipients of the 2012 Community-Campus Partnerships for Health Award, Honorable Mention for their project: The Sage Capital Region Veterans Partnerships for Health. The award recognizes recipients for their work to improve higher education, civic engagement, and the overall health of their communities.
Among more than 100 nominations, The Sage Colleges partnership received Honorable Mention. The award winner was the Community Health Partnership of the Heights in New York City, a partnership with Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital, and the community of Washington Heights and Inwood. The Temple Health Connection in Philadelphia, which included the Temple School of Health Sciences and communities in north Philadelphia, also received Honorable Mention.
