Technology at Sage
Sage is proud of its high speed computer network, and extensive technology services. SageNet, our Local Area Network (LAN) links our two campuses and provides computing services to students, faculty and staff, and is accessible via approximately 355 public computers in a variety of campus locations.
Sage's services include a portal system that provides personal storage, e-mail and collaboration tools. Through the portal, students can also register for classes, check their grades or make a payment to their account. Residence halls offer wired internet access. Both the Albany and Troy campus are completely wireless.
Residential rooms also offer access to basic cable. Additional cable packages are available to our students through Time Warner at a special rate.
Academic computing centers are located on both the Albany and Troy campuses. These facilities house state-of-the-art computing equipment and host numerous computer-based classes. Students utilize these spaces for classroom assignments, research, and other academic purposes. A number of popular software applications are available.
Sage has agreements with Apple to provide members of the Sage Community with discounts on technology purchases made through these vendors.
Sage offers online technical assistance through our Knowledge Base. In the Knowledge Base you'll find 'How-to' instructions for many of our online services and technology.
