CAPES is the peer education program offered by Russell Sage College Wellness Center. The program works in collaboration with local agencies to raise awareness of particular concerns on a college campus, the surrounding community, and the supports and resources that may be utilized to increase overall wellness.

Benefits of Peer Education
As a peer educator, students become the driving force in developing, promoting, and participating in educational and FUN events on and off campus. Peer Educators obtain campus recognition amongst peers and faculty, networking contacts, resume experience, program development experience, leadership skills, and vocational opportunities within the Sage Wellness Center.

Students within CAPES consist of BOTH volunteer and work study eligible students.

National Certification Opportunity
As a peer educator, students will have the opportunity to become Nationally Certified Peer Educators through the BACCHUS Network. Benefits of obtaining certification are invaluable in terms of on and off campus recognition, and vocational experience.
