Discovery Degree - Your degree in three
The Discovery Degree at Russell Sage College is an accelerated honors program that allows exceptionally-qualified students to complete a bachelor's degree in three years of engaging study. The program houses a number of interdisciplinary programs as well as traditional majors.
Students spend the summer after their first year on campus for a 15-credit integrated, team-taught liberal arts and sciences course called "Sage Summer on the Hudson" that fulfills 15 general education credits. During the summer after the second year, they engage in an extended internship and/or independent study. Study Abroad may also be undertaken during that summer, or during a regular semester. Students graduate at the end of year three with a degree in one of these majors:
- Environmental Studies
- Creative Arts in Therapy
- Criminal Justice
- Health Sciences
- International and Globalization Studies
- Musical Theatre
- Nutrition Science
- Political Science
- Self-Designed Interdisciplinary Major
