Teach elementary students and change their world!

Our program allows you to specialize in the life sciences. You will be uniquely prepared to teach basic concepts and inquiry-based activities in the biological sciences to your students.

Foundational Courses:

• Foundations of Biology I & II
• Proseminar
• Research Methods
• Senior Project

Core Biology Courses:

• Environmental Issues or Ecology
• Genetics or Cell Biology
• Biology Elective

Supporting Courses:

• Earth Science & Astronomy
• Intro to General Chemistry
• Intro to Organic & Biochemistry
• Statistics

You will create a project your senior year that relates to teaching.

You will work closely with two advisers: one in Biology and one in the Esteves School of Education. You can complete this program in three years through the Discovery Degree.
