  • To establish and maintain positive relationships with alumnae
  • To keep alumnae informed about the college
  • To encourage alumnae participation in the admission effort of Russell Sage College

Represent Russell Sage College at a

College Fair in Your Area

Each year, alumnae represent Russell Sage College at numerous college fairs throughout the country. If you indicate an interest in representing RSC at a college fair, the Office of Admission will contact you when a fair is held in your hometown area. This is an excellent time to speak with prospective young women about the college, to share your experiences and successes, the benefits of attending a womens' college, and to spread the word about Russell Sage College in your region. .

Become a Student Sage Liaison

The Student Sage Award is a recognition program that allows secondary schools to honor an outstanding junior from their school who embodies the Russell Sage College motto “To Be, To Know, To Do.” A student nominated for the Student Sage Award is eligible to receive a scholarship from Russell Sage ranging from $7,000-$14,000. Student Sage Liaisons are Russell Sage graduates who live in the communities of the Student Sage nominees. The liaison keeps in contact with the student throughout the application and admission process and may present the scholarship nomination at the student’s high school awards ceremony. Your main task is to help the student understand all that Russell Sage has to offer.

Contact Prospective Students in Your Area

As an alumna of Russell Sage College, you have a wealth of information to share with prospective students. And if you remember your own college search, you will remember the vast number of questions you had. With your permission, students may also call or e-mail you as questions arise. Remember: prospective students consider you their best resource, since you are a member of their own community.

Refer a Student to Russell Sage College

If you know of a college-bound woman whom you think would be a good fit for Russell Sage, please fill out the Alumna Referral Form with the student’s information.  If the student applies, is accepted, and enrolls at RSC, she will be rewarded an Alumna Referral Award valued at $500 per year. The award is renewable for three additional years for first-time students and two additional years for transfer students, provided the student remains in good academic standing and maintains full-time status (Total possible award $2,000).

Volunteer as a Panelist or Speaker at an On-Campus Event

We are always looking for alumnae to share their voices with prospective Russell Sage students as speakers and panelists at our open houses, scholarship days, and other campus events. (FYI, most of these events take place during the work week at the campus in Troy). This is a great way to, both, visit your alma mater and share your stories and experiences.
