Financial Eligibility

Financial Eligibility for HEOP is determined by the HEOP Director and the Director of Financial Aid. New York State Guidelines are as follows:

(Please note that these guidelines maybe updated by the NY State Education Dept. with an increase for each of the income levels!)

For students first entering college between July 1, 2005 and June 30, 2006

Note: Add $4,800 for two workers or one worker sole support of a one-parent family. Add $1,800 for a household supported solely by one member working two or more jobs at the same time.

*Add $4,350 for each family member in excess of 11

Financial requirements are automatically met if:

  • The student's family receives public assistance.
  • The student is living with foster parents who are not required to provide support for college, and money isn't provided by their natural parents.
  • The student is a ward of the state or court.
