The Writing Studio is a place where Sage students can get one-on-one help with their writing projects in all courses across the curriculum.

Online Appointment Book (for tutoring sessions on or after 12 March)

To Schedule an Appointment:

1. Click on Online Appointment Book (above)

2. Log into Google or create an account if you don’t have one. If you are setting up a new account, you will need to check for a confirmation e-mail before you can go further.

3. Find the day/time you would like to meet with a tutor.

4. Click on the tutor’s name you want to meet with. A box should pop up called Book Your Appointment. Next to “What” it will show the tutor’s name and your name in parentheses. If that is the time and tutor you want, click Save.

5. You will receive a confirmation e-mail that you can save in order to cancel the appointment if needed.

***NOTE: If you currently have an account registered with Google or a Gmail account, please make sure your Time Zone is set correctly, otherwise, the Appointment Book will show you the wrong times.

To set your Gmail time zone:

  • Click the gear in your Gmail's top right corner.
  • Select Mail settings from the menu that comes up.
  • Go to the Accounts and Import tab.
  • Follow the Other Google Account settings link under Google Account settings:.
  • Select Products on the left.
  • Click Log into Dashboard under Dashboard.
  • If prompted:
    • Type your Gmail password under Password.
    • Click Sign in.
  • Now follow the Edit personal information link under Account.
  • Select the correct time zone (Eastern) under Time zone:
    • If you cannot find the correct city or time zone, try checking Show all time zones.
  • Click Save.

If you use Google Chrome, note that a bug in the browser may interfere with your Gmail time zone. Do make sure you use Google Chrome's latest version (click the wrench and select Update Google Chrome if available).
