Health and Wellness Services

The Wellness Center is located on the first floor of Kellas Hall. The Center houses Health Services, Counseling Services and the Rape Crisis Satellite program. The purpose of this alliance is to assist students in reaching an optimal level of health. All full-time resident and commuting Russell Sage students may use the Wellness Center services free of charge with the exception of lab fees and prescriptions. All students must have some form of health insurance.

Counseling Services provides individual, couples, group and family therapy on a short-term basis depending on one's needs.

Student Health Services provides treatment for acute injury, blood pressure and cholesterol screening, nutrition counseling, diagnostic testing, immunizations, health information and literature and referral. In addition, the gynecology clinic offers a complete examination, pap smear, pregnancy tests, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, contraceptive and pregnancy counseling.

Mail Delivery

The Office of College Services and the campus mail room are located in the basement of John Paine Hall. This is where all mailboxes for full-time undergraduate resident and commuting students can be found. The majority of campus mail will be sent to this box, not your home address. All U.S. mail and packages are delivered here.

MySage and Computer Services

MySage offers an email component that is a web-based graphical interface. This allows our system to be accessed from anywhere at anytime! The information sharing, calendars, news, and announcements offer exciting tools for enhancing student life.

All Sage residence halls are wired for access to SageNet, the college's campus-wide computer network. Resident students can access email and the web from their residence hall room.

Telephone Service

Active telephone lines are set up on a limited basis for residents with an absolute need for a phone line. Students who are interested in having an active telephone line in their rooms should send an email explaining the reason for needing a phone line to the Residence Life staff at residencelife@sage.edu. If the request is approved, a work order will be placed to set up the phone line and obtain a phone.

Cable TV Service

Each residence hall room is equipped with cable TV jacks. Basic cable service is provided to each student and expanded service can be arranged through Time Warner Cable at a cost to the individual student. Cords must be purchased independently. Additional information about cable »

Bed Configurations

Raised: The standard bed configuration. Can be raised up to 2' off the floor for storage of plastic bins underneath.

Bunked: One bed placed directly on top of another bed. Can be raised, but will depend on the height of the student in the bottom bed (to allow for head room when seated).

Lofted: One bed raised into the air with support poles. Can be raised between 5' and 6' off the ground. Allows a student desk with bookcase and dresser to fit underneath resulting in more space in the room.
