Michael Musial graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelors Degree in Piano Performance, a Masters Degree in Music History and a Masters Degree in Piano Performance.
He is an Associate Professor of Music at Russell Sage College where he serves as Chair of the Department of Arts and Letters, is the Director of the Sage Singers and serves as Coordinator of the Theatre Institute at Sage.
For Sage he has directed/music directed numerous concerts, musicals and plays including Spelling Bee, Urinetown, Lady in the Dark, Peter Pan, A Christmas Carol, Suessical, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and The Secret Garden.
For the New York State Theatre Institute he served as Music Director for many shows, including Orphan Train, 1776, Really Rosie, Reunion, King Island Christmas, Magna Carta and Yours, Anne.
Along with his wife Barbara, he is a member of the Duo Piano team of Musial and Musial.
He is the Director of Music at St. Augustine’s Church in North Troy.
