Advising Information for Current and New SAW Students
The learning environment at Sage is highly supportive and emphasizes personal as well as academic development. In talking to the Admission Office you have already experienced this individualized review of your goals and prior academic preparation. In continuing this dedication to quality service the SAW Office is committed to making your transition to Sage a highly positive and productive experience. Careful and advance planning will ensure your academic needs are met. Prior to the start of classes, as a new Sage student, you will meet one-on-one with the Associate Director of Enrollment Management. During this session students learn more about:
- Course Planning/Scheduling
- Sage's Academic Evaluation Report
- Transfer Credit Evaluation Report
- Establishing a Graduation Timeline
- Campus Resources
Following your initial registration, you will be working with faculty in your specific program area to chart your future course plans and discuss how they relate to your career options. Through Sage Advisor, you will be able to review many program requirements and your progress toward your degree. However, your faculty advisor is an invaluable resource, a professional in your field, who can work with you on the best sequence of courses and your readiness for each next step toward your degree.
