New Student Checklist

_____________________________________________________ Beginning June 1, 2010, New Students will be pre-scheduled for their fall 2010 class schedules by the Academic Advising office - student schedule information provided by academic departments and faculty advisors. _____________________________________________________ Log-in to SageAdvisor and explore Student Menu options (your on-line academic record and student account/SageSense) and review your Program Evaluation report and Transfer Credit Report _____________________________________________________ Attend summer academic planning conference -- New Student Advising & Registration Session _____________________________________________________ Refer to the Academic Advising Office webpages - lots of great links for you to utilize _____________________________________________________ Research your major and degree requirements in the Catalog; Fine Arts Student use the Course Planner tool _____________________________________________________ Reminder: send final official college transcripts & AP scores to Admission Office _____________________________________________________ Accept or decline: college Health Insurance coverage. **A fee is automatically charged to all full-time students, unless, the proper waiver and proof of current health insurance is submitted. On-line waiver process. _____________________________________________________ Residence Hall students complete & return: housing contract, roommate information and meal plan selection forms _____________________________________________________ Complete financial aid and loan paperwork in SageSense _____________________________________________________ Pay outstanding tuition bill or "out of pocket" amount by due date _____________________________________________________ Save summer money for books & supplies ($400-$500 approx) _____________________________________________________ Complete physical & immunization forms- send to Wellness Center _____________________________________________________ Attend New Student Orientation beginning on August 26; obtain Sage student ID card & parking permit _____________________________________________________ Check your fall '10 schedule in SageAdvisor to be sure you are in 15 credits & for final classroom locations _____________________________________________________ Sign up for, e2campus, Sage's emergency alert & snow closing system sent to cellphone _____________________________________________________ Fall 2010 classes begin: _____________________________________________________ Buy all assigned books and supplies _____________________________________________________ Contact your Faculty Advisor if you have concerns about your classes or if you wish to make schedule changes.
