Guidance Counselors & Teachers
We would like to invite you to participate in Sage College of Albany's 4th Annual SageArts Award Nomination program by submitting an application for an outstanding young art student from your school community. By nominating a current junior, you will help a talented student develop and enhance skills needed for pursuing a career in the arts.
We are looking for exceptional students from the junior class who are looking to design their future. The ideal candidate will be someone who not only demonstrates superior artistic talent, but who is also academically sound and a leader within their high school community. Specifically, they must maintain at least a B+ average, have a minimum combined 1000 SAT (Critical Reading & Math) and an "exceptional" portfolio of work.
If selected, the student nominee will be eligible for a scholarship or award ranging from $4,000 - $9,000 per year. The recipient will also receive a special SageArts Award memento signifying nomination, a certificate of nomination and an invitation to attend the SageArts Award Recognition Day during the spring.
To complete the process, please submit the following by May 15, 2007:
- The SageArts Nomination Form
- A transcript through five semesters
- PSAT or SAT scores
- Recommendation from the Teacher or Principal
Students selected for the nomination will be announced to you by June 1, 2007.
