Career and Major MISTAKES some college students make…

• Hate their choice of major and do nothing about it
• Rule out a career or job based on mis-information or old data
• Graduate from college with NO experience (i.e., internships) related to major… weak resume
• Low GPA in major courses/poor GPA overall
• Worked too many hours at part-time jobs, did not put academics first
• Did not visit College career planning center, did not understand how to do a professional job search
