STUDENT DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP

Leadership Development

Times are changing, and today's society has put a demand on leadership and success in all areas. An active and assertive involvement in student activities can better prepare you to develop characteristics such as motivation, self-esteem, awareness and foster student leadership. Working with others can help you improve your communication skills, learn how to accept responsibility, and develop key leadership skills, which can prepare students for future careers and academic success.

C.L.A.S. (Community, Leadership, Advocacy, and Service)

C.L.A.S. (Community, Leadership, Advocacy, and Service) Is a development series that focuses on the skills needed to be a successful member of the student body. C.L.A.S. is designed to focus on the individual growth of a student leader. One way C.L.A.S. creates opportunities is through providing service projects to the local area and campus. Incorporating these skills will instill students with the ability to be advocates to their local communities and Sage campus. The skills learned through C.L.A.S. will develop growth in the individual and overall Sage campus.

Leadership Getaway

Leadership Getaway is an annual weekend workshop on leadership. This spring event brings both current and perspective leaders together to build bonds and lasting relationships. The weekend has ice breakers, team building, and low and high ropes courses. Students learn to increase their self-confidence, awareness, trust, communication, and team work.
