You might also be interested in a service called NY Alert http://www.nyalert.gov/, which will provide text/email messages of traffic backups/accidents, weather warnings and more throughout New York State.

Commuter Relations Board
The Sage College of Albany also has a Commuter Relations Board which is a student-led organization on campus that functions to represent our large commuter student population. The Commuter Relations Board President sits on the Student Government Association Board and is an important advocate for commuter focused programs and events.
