Leadership Development
Sage offers many leadership development opportunities, both in and out of the classroom. The program’s model is an emergent leadership paradigm and recognizes the leadership potential of all students. Active participation in college leadership activities prepares students to be effective leaders, role models, and change agents in their careers, families and communities.
Sage prides itself on both the number and quality of leadership opportunities available. These positions are important to the success of all our students and provide the candidates with an opportunity to gain valuable leadership experience. At Sage, students have the opportunity to explore leadership in a variety of ways which have a positive impact on their community.

Student Development and Leadership
Leadership Development
Times are changing, and today's society has put a demand on leadership and success in all areas. An active and assertive involvement in student activities can better prepare you to develop characteristics such as motivation, self-esteem, awareness and foster student leadership. Working with others can help you improve your communication skills, learn how to accept responsibility, and develop key leadership skills, which can prepare students for future careers and academic success.
Student Life Leadership Series
Is a development series that focuses on the skills needed to be a successful member of the student body. This leadership series is designed to focus on the individual growth of a student leader and creates opportunities providing service projects to the local area and campus. Incorporating these skills will instill students with the ability to be advocates to their local communities and Sage campus. The skills learned through our program will develop growth in the individual and overall Sage campus.
Leadership Getaway
Leadership Getaway is an annual weekend workshop on leadership. This spring event brings both current and perspective leaders together to build bonds and lasting relationships. The weekend has ice breakers, team building, and low and high ropes courses. Students learn to increase their self-confidence, awareness, trust, communication, and team work.
