Housing Lottery

Dear Students,

We are excited that you are planning to live on campus at Sage College of Albany and we welcome you! It is that time of year again to begin planning on your room assignment for next year.

Residence halls are more than just places to live! Sage believes that residence halls should be active living/learning centers that compliment the academic programs of the College. First year students are required to reside on the Albany campus and returning students also have the option of living on campus. For some students, residence hall living is what college is all about. Sage College of Albany’s on-campus, coed residence hall provides a clean, safe, comfortable living/learning environment for students in good academic standing.

Good luck in your planning for next year. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Kim D. Akins

Director of Residence Life

Off Campus Living

University Heights College Suites

After their first year, students may prefer to live in University Heights College Suites, a student housing complex only a short walk from campus. This housing option offers Sage students apartment-style living with fully furnished 2 & 4 bedroom units. Deposits for UHCS should be paid directly at the UHCS office. Space is limited to a first come first serve basis. UHCS has already begun taking deposits for the 2008-2009 academic year. Please contact UHCS directly if you are interested in living at UHCS or if you have any questions. The number is (518) 694-9000.

Commuting

All upper-class year students at Sage College of Albany are able to choose to reside off campus. In order to become a commuter you must complete a Change of Status form. This form can be found at the Office of Campus Life, located on the second floor of Kahl Student Center. This form should be completed before Room Selection begins on March 24, 2008.

Special Circumstance Housing

If you have a special circumstance which would require a special housing arrangement (i.e. medical singles, religious needs, etc.) you must apply for these housing options before Room Selection Night occurs. Please complete the Special Circumstance application by Monday, March 24, 2008. Each application must include documentation that is applicable at the time of submission. The Director of Residence Life will then grant or deny each request. If granted, a room will be selected for that resident based on their needs.
