Room Selection

Dear Students,

We are excited that you are planning to live on campus at Sage College of Albany and we welcome you! It is that time of year again to begin planning on your room assignment for next year.

Residence halls are more than just places to live! Sage believes that residence halls should be active living/learning centers that compliment the academic programs of the College. First year students are required to reside on the Albany campus. Returning students have the option of living on campus in the University Heights Association College Suites. Starting in the fall of 2009, The Sage Colleges will be reserving a block of College Suite apartments specifically for Sage students. Applications will be available starting April 6, 2009 from the Office of Residence Life in the Albany Campus Residence Hall or from the Office of Campus Life in the Kahl Campus Center.

For some students, residence hall living is what college is all about. Sage College of Albany's on-campus, coed residence hall provides a clean, safe, comfortable living/learning environment for students in good academic standing.

Room Selection Calendar - March/ April 2009

Mid-March - Room Selection Newsletter emailed to all students

March 30 - Clear any holds on your college account

Starting April 6, returning students who are interested in living on campus (in the UHA College Suites) will be able to pick up and submit their applications. Applications will be available in the Resident Director's office in the ACRH, as well as in the Office of Residence Life, located in the Kahl Campus Center Campus Life suite 145. In the application, residents will indicate suite-mate choices for next academic year.

Please plan on applying for College Suites living through the Office of Residence Life.

If you have a hold on your college account, you will not be eligible to apply for fall housing. Please double check to make sure you are in good standing with the Student Services office.

Off Campus Living/Commuting

Upperclass students at Sage College of Albany have the option to live off campus. In order to become a commuter, you must complete a Change of Status form. This form can be found at the Office of Campus Life, located on the second floor of Kahl Campus Center, suite 145. This form should be completed by March 23, 2009.

Special Circumstance Housing

If you have a special circumstance which would require a special housing arrangement (i.e. medical or religious needs), you must apply for this before Room Selection. Please complete the Special Circumstance application by Monday, March 23, 2009. The application can be found at the Office of Campus Life in the Kahl Campus Center suite 145. Appropriate documentation is required (explained clearly in the application). The Director of Residence Life will then grant or deny each request. If granted, a room will be selected for you based on your needs. You will be notified by email of your room assignment.

No Deposit Required Before May 1, 2009!

Students who have not selected a room by May 1, 2009 will be required to pay a late selection fee of $100. This fee is in conjunction with the late registration fee for students who do not register for classes by May 1.
