About The Sage Graduate Schools

Since 1949, Sage has offered competitive and innovative graduate programs in management, health care, psychology, and education.

In 2009, Sage restructured its graduate school around areas of strength and expertise to create the schools of Education, Health Sciences and Management. The schools offer professional degrees and certificates at the post-baccalaureate, master's, post-master's, and doctorate levels.

The Esteves School of Education offers high-quality, accredited degree programs for educators and school counselors.

Sage's School of Health Sciences offers degrees in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition and psychology.

Sage's School of Management specializes in educating managers in health care, government, and individual and family-owned enterprises.

A graduate degree at Sage is one of the best education values in the Albany area. Alumni of Sage's graduate programs serve in leadership positions throughout the Capital District and New York state and across the country.

Practical and Applied Research

Research is an important component of any graduate school program. But at Sage, the focus is on applied research -- on finding new ways to apply classroom knowledge and theory to practical situations. It is a process and a culture of change. Most students conduct independent research while others collaborate on faculty-sponsored research projects. Students present their work annually at the Sage Graduate Schools Research Symposium.

Flexible Scheduling

Graduate-level classes are accessible to adults who balance active personal lives, careers and academics. Sage offers graduate classes during the day, in the evenings, on weekends, in one-day-a-week formats, in special institutes, and online.

Practitioner Faculty

Sage faculty members are talented educators who practice what they teach. They are active in their professions, giving students the benefit of both professional experience and advanced academic training.

Learning in Action

Sage's commitment to Learning in Action prepares students intellectually and practically for leadership roles in education, the health sciences and management and offers you opportunities to engage in a wider-sphere of activity beyond the campus. Sage Graduate Schools offers distinctive degrees of advanced study for recent college graduates and to working professionals.
