The doctoral programs seek an individual who will provide assistance to the Directors of DNS and EdD programs. This will include
• data collection, report generation, collection of program evaluation data including recruitment, retention, advisement, completion status, standards
• general office support for the shared doctoral program office on the Sage Albany Campus including scheduling appointments, dissemination of program information, responding to telephone and email requests for program information, processing of program inquiries, and functions related to office technology support and office filing as required
• assistance with planning and preparations for special events and for weekend courses, make room readiness arrangements and assure technology support for classrooms and for doctoral students
• conduct of literature searches as requested by the directors
• assistance in communications with doctoral candidates and prospective candidates


Skills Needed for the Position: MS Word, Spreadsheets (Excel), Web searching

Skills Helpful for the Position: Statistics (SPSS)


Additional special skills or attributes required for the position: Careful attention to detail and the ability to sustain effort without immediate supervision is very important. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Ability to work without close supervision and to take initiative is a requirement.

The work hours for the assistant must include 1:00 to 4:00pm each Friday of the semester and
the Friday/Saturday weekends of the program courses. The Directors have scheduled the courses to meet on the same weekends to allow this to be possible. The graduate assistant should also be available for the two weeks the EdD program is in session during the summer.
