The candidate should meet the following criteria:
1) Be a Spanish major in good standing who has completed all major courses or is
    about to complete the Spanish major and is moving on to graduate work in
    Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy. This person must have completed a
    summer session or more of total immersion in our Spain program.
2) S/he should have excellent research skills.
3) A command of the basic sciences and exposure to clinical observations and/or
    rotations
4) Reading command of Spanish in the high-mid to low-advanced level (as defined
    by ACTFL/ETS); Spoken command of Spanish in the high-intermediate level;
    written command in the high- intermediate level; listening comprehension in the
    high-mid to low-advanced level; a grounding in the variety of Hispanic
    cultures/civilization.
5) Have successfully completed SPA 273 Spanish for the health professions.
6) Excellent command of written academic writing in English

Skills Needed for the Position: MS Word, Databases (Access), Web searching (Explorer)

Skills Helpful for the Position: Spreadsheets (Excel), Statistics (SPSS)

Additional special skills or attributes required for the position: Punctuality in office coverage. Flexibility in schedule. Schedule is flexible, but the candidate must be able to meet project deadlines as mutually agreed upon with Dr. Hernandez.
