This GA position includes two roles. The primary role is assignment to one or more labs as a teaching assistant for classes in the first and second year of the program. The faculty members teaching the labs will assign the specific TA duties. They may include supervising students during lab activities, grading assignments, providing open lab sessions for students, scheduling patients for the labs and helping them get into and out of the building.

When the primary role does not require 10 hours per week, this GA is assigned duties similar to the GA for the Physical Therapy Department position in which assistance is provided as requested by PT faculty members for clerical support and development of course materials. Other duties include, but are not limited to, maintenance of equipment and class/lab space, providing tours for prospective students, and assistance at recruiting and service events.
