This research proposal is essentially a request for support in the continuance and expansion of the original Louis and Hortense Rubin Community Fellowship awarded in the summer of 1991. Recently, media attention has begun to raise awareness of Battered Womens Issues. This research project would like to expand in two areas: 1) Data collection of fifty battered women; the original project planned to collect information about thirty women, and 2) Inclusion of a "control or contrast" group of non-battered women.
