About the School of Professional & Continuing Education

You have a job to do, so we'll provide you with options to continue your education while you work. Look at any of the boardrooms, hospitals, advertising agencies, and law offices in the Capital Region and beyond; chances are you'll find a Sage graduate on board. The School of Professional & Continuing Education (SPCE) is the flagship continuing college education program in the Capital District.

SPCE at Sage College of Albany is for students who have a substantial amount of college credit, an associate degree, or life and work experience, who wish to complete their bachelor's degree. Students who are balancing work, family, and school, can choose from a range of exciting courses offered in the evening, on the weekend, during the summer, or online.

Credit for Prior Learning through life and work experience may be earned through individual portfolio evaluation. Typically, students enter with a minimum of 40 completed credits or an associate degree.

Schedules for Working Professionals

Classes are offered year-round, in the evening (after 6:00pm) including full- and half-term (sessions), weekends, and online. Students may also take day classes.  Specific course offering times vary based on major program and student degree needs.
