Medical schools, physician assistant schools, and health science schools seek individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse undergraduate preparation. Our program of study helps you complete the required courses for most US schools. You are encouraged to explore the requirements of specific programs of interest to you. Your course of study will be individualized to meet your career goals.
The MCAT exams are changing for 2015 and biochemistry and the social sciences are required. Our coursework also covers the science needed for the MCAT examinations. Some MD schools also require 6 credits of English and/or Calculus. Medical schools usually expect prerequisite courses to have been completed within the past 5 years of application.
Veterinary medicine usually requires an internship working with large and small animals.
Many physician assistant schools and physical therapy programs require Anatomy & Physiology and often statistics. PA schools also expect at least 1000 hours of health care experience.

Note: Course of study depends on individual career goals and previous undergraduate or graduate course work.
For example, in addition to the certificate courses listed below, some MD/DO schools may also require Calculus and Biochemistry. Medical schools usually expect prerequisite courses to have been completed no more than five years prior to application.
In addition to the certificate courses listed below, physician assistant programs may require statistics and recommend genetics and additional chemistry coursework.
