Adjunct Instructors — Biology and Health Sciences

The Sage Colleges Department of Biology and Health Sciences is seeking adjunct instructors for the Fall 2018 semester.

Qualifications: experience teaching in the following areas microbiology, anatomy and physiology, and/or pathophysiology. Master’s degree or equivalent required. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level is preferred.

The successful candidate will teach either lecture or lab, or both, in microbiology and/or anatomy and physiology to undergraduates, and/or pathophysiology to graduate students; up to three courses based on availability and experience.

The Sage Colleges include: Russell Sage College for women in Troy, NY, the coeducational Sage College of Albany, and the Sage Graduate Schools – of Education, Health Sciences, and Management – operating on both campuses.

Academic Support — Professional Tutors

The Sage College of Albany seeks professional tutors for the fall and spring semesters. These are part-time, hourly positions tutoring undergraduate students in a variety of courses including:

Anatomy & Physiology, Biology I & II, Chemistry I, Physics I, Mathematics (Algebra, Calculus, Statistics) and more.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field (Master’s preferred). Experience preferred.

Successful candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be knowledgeable in study skill concepts, and be comfortable working with a variety of students with varying levels of skills. Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently with students and without direct supervision.
