Dr. Cynthia J. Ward earned the Ph.D. from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University in public administration, a master’s degree in economics and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry both from Ohio University. She teaches economics, organization studies and research methods for the graduate public, health administration and MBA programs. She has published articles in Policy Studies Journal and the Central New York Business She has presented papers and conducted workshops for a variety of national and regional academic and professional organizations and served as a consultant for a variety of health and human service organizations and state agencies. She has also conducted management training workshops for numerous organizations in the areas of teambuilding, conflict management, leadership, motivation, stress management and time management.
Dr. Ward was a Fulbright Scholar and has been an active member of a number of professional organizations including the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) among others. More recently, Dr. Ward has served as President of the New York State Political Science Association and currently serves as Treasurer. An avid skier, she is also a member of PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) and is certified Alpine Level II.
