B.S. in Public Affairs & Public Policy

The Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs and Public Policy program at Sage College of Albany prepares students for careers in municipal, county, state, and federal government agencies.  This is an applied, interdisciplinary program founded in the social sciences.

The focus is on the issues of public policy and the advocacy necessary to change policy. The program combines academic study with experiential learning (internships), and benefits from and is enriched by its location in Albany, the center of government for New York State. Students in this program are encouraged to complete full-semester, full-time internships with the New York State Assembly and the New York State Senate.

Note that this program is offered through the Albany campus.  Though many of the required courses are also offered on the Troy campus, Russell Sage College students completing the Public Affairs and Public Policy program will be expected to complete at least some of their required major courses on the Albany campus.
