Sage’s undergraduate Science programs prepare students for leadership roles in education, government and private industry, as well as for graduate study in a range of disciplines.
Faculty members in Sage’s Biology, Psychology and Public Health programs are distinguished researchers and dedicated professors who love to teach and share their enthusiasm for their subjects with students.
Meet Emilly Obuya, Ph.D., an associate professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, who knows she teaches a difficult subject, so has become a highly-skilled communicator in order to help her students meet the challenge.
Students in every discipline regularly conduct research, present at conferences including the prestigious National Conference on Undergraduate Research and have their work published. Internships, work-study placements and service-learning projects combine education, professional networking and community involvement.
Pre-professional advising is available for students who expect to apply to schools of medicine, veterinary medicine or dental medicine or to physician assistant programs after earning a bachelor’s degree. Sage also has articulation agreements with Albany Medical College’s physician assistant program.
Several linked and accelerated programs make it possible for eligible students to complete a bachelor’s degree in a Science discipline and a graduate degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy or Management in less time than it would take to pursue the degrees individually.
