The graduate programs in psychology in the School of Health Sciences at The Sage Colleges prepare students for work as mental health counselors and community psychologists. The programs have been designed for students who have made a commitment to advance social justice, to promote the well-being of individuals, families and groups with varying cultural traditions, and to develop change strategies to address social issues in diverse communities through the application of psychological principles, research and methods.

The M.A. in Counseling and Community Psychology program is accredited by the Master’s in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC) for the period August 2010 through August 2020. Graduates are eligible to take the NYS licensing exam for the LMHC license.
