This research assistant position will assist the Director of Advancement Information Services with various projects to support Advancement aspects of the institution. The focus of the projects will vary and will include summarizing collections of data with SPSS, while concentrating on the needs and the institutions alumni/alumnae, faculty and administration. A high degree of confidentiality is necessary due to the sensitive nature of data elements. The position is on the Troy campus and daytime hours are extremely flexible.
Skills Needed for the Position: MS Office-especially excel and a high level of proficiency with Microcomputer Statistics SPSS Skills Helpful for the Position: Basic knowledge of query building is helpful but not necessary-on the job training and experience will be provided in this area. Additional special skills or attributes required for the position: The research assistant should possess an interest in and curiosity about statistical data as well as strong attention to detail. Skills utilized in this position will be applicable in a variety of professional situations across many disciplines
