Assist in the grading of all practicum pre-rotation assignments and Pediatric Nutrition case studies; Assist in tasks associated with content development of practicum courses, such as obtaining current research articles, developing study guides, developing or locating up-to-date resources for interns, etc.
The GA will act as an assistant and TA in our two food science lab courses: NTR 502/402 (Advanced Food Science) in Fall 2016 and NTR 211 (Introduction to Food Science) in Spring 2017. Responsibilities will include: keeping the lab stocked and organized, food shopping, lab set up, grading labs, assisting with special lab projects. There will be at least 3 sections of each lab. In addition to lab responsibilities associated with these classes, the GA will assist with NTR 314 (Quantity Food Production) as needed, as well as outreach events that utilize the nutrition science lab facility.
Assist the department chair, DPD director and other department faculty with a variety of tasks to help ensure smooth delivery of DPD program. Coordination of department events such as the Nutrition lecture and Verification Ceremonies (Dec. and May). Assist with the management of website, student handbook, Sage nutrition events, community outreach and writing assignments.
Assist in tasks associated with content development and course administration, such as obtaining current research articles, developing study guides, developing or locating up-to-date resources online learning, etc. Assist with faculty research projects and in recruitment efforts.
