The GA will act as an assistant and TA in our two food science lab courses: NTR 502/402 (Advanced Food Science) in fall and NTR 211 (Introduction to Food Science) in spring. Responsibilities will include: keeping the lab stocked and organized, food shopping, lab set up, grading labs, assisting with special lab projects. There will be at least 2 sections of each lab. In addition to lab responsibilities associated with the class, the GA will assist with outreach events that utilize the new lab facility.
Assist DI director and coordinator with variety of tasks to help ensure smooth delivery of program. Coordination of Nutrition Networking Night (contact speakers, send out invitations, organize event, collect RSVPs, develop flyer, etc); Assist with the management of online evaluation system; Assist with Open Houses/Student Recruitment Fairs; Develop gala invitations and manage RSVP’s.
Assist the Graduate Programs Director with variety of tasks to help ensure smooth delivery of the MS programs. Coordination of community outreach events, assist with the management of website, student handbook, Sage nutrition events, and some course assignments.
Assist the department chair and DPD director with variety of tasks to help ensure smooth delivery of DPD program. Coordination of department events such as the Nutrition lecture and Verification Ceremonies (Dec. and May). Assist with the management of website, student handbook, Sage nutrition events, community outreach and writing assignments, as well as some course grading.
