We know the news you received recently about Medaille University’s closure may be overwhelming, and you want to figure out your next steps quickly. Russell Sage College, an affordable private college in the Capital Region of New York with more than 2,100 undergraduate and graduate students, would like to be a resource for you as you work out a new path to your degree.

Like Medaille, we offer hands-on, practitioner-based learning to our students. Every undergraduate gains at least two significant resume-building experiences before they graduate – whether that’s clinicals, student teaching, service learning, undergraduate research, study abroad, or some other form of experiential learning. Living in the Capital Region of New York will also give you access to endless internship opportunities and employment after graduation should you choose to stay in the area.

Our transfer team will work closely with you to ensure a smooth transition toward your degree completion. We know you’ll want to get settled on where you’re headed in the fall soon, and we will provide you with answers quickly.

About Russell Sage College

Be. Know. Do.

Be.

We embrace students for their unique gifts and experiences and believe they make our collective community stronger. We make it our mission to help students achieve their personal and professional goals by designing a holistic learning experience centered on their growth.

Know.

We emphasize active and experiential learning for all students. It’s not just about sitting in a classroom or listening to a professor lecture from the front of a room. A Russell Sage learner is an engaged learner. Considering diverse perspectives, working within the greater community, and preparing students to enter the workforce ready to lead are central to who we are.

Do.

100% of our students graduate with two or more key resume-building experiences, such as an internship, clinical placement, fieldwork, student teaching, study abroad, or service learning experience. 94% of our students achieve a job or graduate school acceptance within six months of graduation, but “Be. Know. Do.” doesn’t end there. Russell Sage College alumni always strive to grow as people and improve the world around them.
