The Office of Corporate, Government and Foundation Relations (OCGFR) works with businesses, foundations, government agencies, and leaders to identify Sage initiatives that help advance their marketing, policy or philanthropic strategies.
Support of this kind can include direct contracts, original research, professional development, curricular design, scholarship or underwriting of special events. The OCGFR seeks unrestricted operating support, special project funding, as well as capital and endowment funding that advances the mission and goals of Russell Sage College.
The OCGFR facilitates monthly Grants Planning Committee (GPC) meetings to review grants from an institutional perspective and to support faculty and staff pursing external funding in support of research, community outreach, or program enhancement.
The OCGFR is an integral part of Sage’s Development and Alumnae/i Relations efforts. Alumnae/i serving in leadership of government, corporations or foundations can enhance their support of Sage by providing access to decision makers, helping to secure funds for Sage programs and requests, or simply applying for matching gift funds should your employer provide such a benefit.
The OCGFR seeks funding in support of:
Our Students
Scholarship and fellowship support provides critical funding for students in need. This support ensures the recruitment of top undergraduate and graduate students. Russell Sage College’s Corporate Connections program allows area businesses to make moderate annual contributions in support of scholarships.
Our Faculty
Vital resources are needed for the recruitment and retention of world-class faculty. Faculty support includes funding for research, teaching awards, as well as endowed chairs and professorships.
Our Capital
A resourced facility ensures quality education. Russell Sage College’s commitment to the ongoing enhancement to our Troy brownstones, our campuses, our libraries, arts centers, and technology, all require significant capital investment.
Our Programs
Creating and implementing innovative programs and research that enhance the delivery of our curriculum is a true investment in the future. Russell Sage College’s legacy is the teaching of practical arts in a liberal arts setting.
Our Outreach
Sage engages with the community through a wide array of programs including community and school outreach, health clinics, arts programs, public programs and more.
