30th Annual Hoffman Lecture in Sociology and Social Policy: Immigrants and Refugees in the United States

Peggy Walsh, Ph.D., from Keene State College, will moderate a panel discussion on the contributions of immigrants to the U.S. economy, as well as the demographic future and legal risks facing refugees and immigrants.

The panel is sponsored by the Hoffman Prize and Lecture Fund, established in 1979 by Linda Rosenfield Hoffman RSC ’62 and her husband Peter, to provide for sociology lectures.

The panel is also offered as part of Sage’s WORLD series. WORLD is an acronym for Women Owning Responsibility for Learning and Doing, Russell Sage College’s general education program. The program hosts speakers on wide-ranging and complex topics.
