Stephen Gottlieb, LL.B.In Unfit for Democracy: The Roberts Court and the Breakdown of American Politics, Stephen Gottlieb, LL.B., the Jay and Ruth Caplan Distinguished Professor at Albany Law School, argues that constitutional law without a focus on the future of democratic government is incoherent and dangerous. Approaching the decisions of the Roberts Court from political science, historical, comparative and legal perspectives, Gottlieb will discuss the clash between the decisions of the Roberts Court and the evidence about what leads democracies to fail.
