Donika Kelly

Donika Kelly is the author of Bestiary (Graywolf, 2016) and the chapbook Aviarium (500 Places, 2017). Bestiary won the 2015 Cave Canem Poetry Prize, was long listed for the National Book Award (2016) and was a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award (2017). A Cave Canem Graduate Fellow, Kelly received a Master of Fine Arts from the Michener Center for Writers and a doctorate from Vanderbilt University. Her poems have been appeared or are forthcoming in Virginia Quarterly Review, Tin House, and Gulf Coast. She is an assistant professor at St. Bonaventure University, where she teaches creative writing.

Danielle Pafunda

Danielle Pafunda is author of eight books, including the poetry collections The Dead Girls Speak in Unison (Bloof Books), Natural History Rape Museum (Bloof Books) and the forthcoming Beshrew That Heart That Makes My Heart to Groan (Dusie Press Books). Her experimental memoir The Book of Scab is forthcoming from Richochet Editions. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from New School University and a doctorate from the University of Georgia. She sits on the board of directors of VIDA: Women in Literary Arts. She teaches at UC San Diego and has taught at Columbia College, University of Wyoming and at the Education Center of the 29Palms Marine Corps Base in the Mojave Desert.

WORLD is an acronym for Women Owning Responsibility for Learning and Doing, Russell Sage College’s general education program. The program hosts speakers on wide-ranging and complex topics. The talks are free, open to the public, and held in Bush Memorial Center at Russell Sage College.
