Students, scholars and professionals from a variety of disciplines will participate in the sixth annual Capital District Feminist Studies Consortium Conference at Russell Sage College in Troy, N.Y., on Jan. 31, 2018. The event will include presentations on activism, aging, disability, intimate partner violence, sexuality and more, and conclude with a poster session and networking reception.
Since 2012, the Capital District Feminist Studies Consortium Conference has brought together scholars and practitioners in the humanities, social sciences, medicine, law, public policy and public service for interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration. The conference, held annually on a Capital District campus, attracts participants from throughout the area as well as from neighboring states.
The 2018 conference is sponsored by Russell Sage College’s Helen M. Upton Center for Women’s Studies, and hosted on the Russell Sage College campus.
