Sarah Jaffe, author of “Necessary Trouble: Americans in Revolt” will deliver a talk entitled “The Resistance: Fighting for Justice in the Trump Era” on Wednesday, February 21, at 1 p.m., in Bush Memorial Center at Russell Sage College, 65 1st Street, Troy, N.Y.

Jaffe, a Nation Institute reporting fellow, is an independent journalist whose writing on labor, economic justice, social movements, politics, gender and pop culture has appeared in The New York Times, The Nation, the Guardian, the Washington Post, the Atlantic and other publications. She co-hosts Dissent magazine’s Belabored podcast and is a columnist at The New Republic and New Labor Forum. She was one of the first reporters to cover Occupy Wall Street and the Fight for $15.

Jaffe’s talk is sponsored by The Sage Colleges Department of History and Society and is part of Sage’s WORLD series. WORLD is an acronym for Women Owning Responsibility for Learning and Doing, Russell Sage College’s general education program. The program hosts speakers on wide-ranging and complex topics.
