Sage is Ranked 24th out of 381 Universities for Success  Graduating Economically Disadvantaged Students

The Sage Colleges is included among the Top Performers on Social Mobility in the 2020 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Colleges” rankings. Sage is ranked number 24 out of 381 national universities in this category.

Top Performers on Social Mobility is a new category in U.S. News’ “Best Colleges” rankings. The publication considered the percentage of enrolled and graduated students who have been awarded Pell grants to create the list. According to U.S. News, the vast majority of federal Pell grants are awarded to students with annual household incomes below $50,000. Approximately 54% of current Sage undergraduate students are Pell-eligible.

“A college diploma is the key to tremendous opportunity for graduates in America and for their descendants,” said Christopher Ames, president of The Sage Colleges. “The obstacles our students face to achieve a diploma are often high, and they are steeper for those who aren’t privileged or are the first in their family to have such an opportunity. I am extremely proud of Sage’s commitment to student-centered service and longstanding reputation for making higher education accessible.”
