ALBANY & TROY, NY – The Sage Colleges is proud to announce that its “$100K in a Day” fundraising campaign raised a total of $213,142.  In honor of its 100th birthday on Monday, September 19, 2016, Sage challenged alumni, employees and friends to make a gift to The Sage Fund for Excellence and set a goal of raising $100,000 in one day as a birthday gift to Sage.  This was Sage’s first attempt at a major flash fundraising campaign and Sage more than doubled its goal.

“We are so moved by the generosity of our faculty, staff, students and alumni,” said Sage President Susan C. Scrimshaw. “To raise over $200,000 in a 24-hour period is a remarkable accomplishment and it could not have been possible without the support of our Sage community. What a wonderful tribute to the founding of this institution. This also brings us closer to reaching our $50 million Centennial Campaign goal.”

More than 830 faculty, staff, students and alumni from across the country donated to the campaign.  Classes contributing ranged from the Class of 1939 to the Class of 2019 and gifts came in from coast to coast and as far away as Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
