Sage Hosts Nutrition Lecture Series Sponsored by CDPHP
The Sage Colleges is proud to host the 2013 Nutrition Lecture Series sponsored by CDPHP entitled, The Winning Plate: Eating to Optimize Performance for Athletes and Active People on Tuesday, March 5 at the Sage College of Albany Kahl Center Gym at 7:00pm.
Leslie Bonci, registered sports dietetics specialist and nutrition consultant to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, the Toronto Blue Jays, the Washington Nationals and a number of NCAA teams will speak on ways to enhance performance for athletes and for sports-minded individuals as well. Bonci, a frequent lecturer at universities nationwide, is the author or co-author of six popular books on sports nutrition and serves on the editorial advisory board of Fitness Magazine.
“As a physician-founded, community-based health plan, CDPHP has spent nearly 30 years promoting health, wellness, and nutrition,” said Dr. John Bennett, president and CEO, CDPHP. “Whether you are on track to be an elite athlete or training for your first 5K, knowing how to nourish your body is an important factor in achieving your goals,” added Bennett.

The lecture series is free and open to the public.
