About Ellen S. Cole

Biography

Ellen Cole, a counseling psychologist, is Professor of Practice in Psychology at Russell Sage College.

While Dr. Cole has taught a wide variety of psychology courses to a variety of constituencies (high school students, undergraduates, master’s students, and doctoral students), the majority of her career has been spent training master’s level graduate students to become mental health professionals. She has taught in and directed graduate programs in Vermont (Goddard College), Arizona (Prescott College), and Alaska (Alaska Pacific University).

Florence L. Denmark Award for Contributions to Women and Aging from APA’s Society for the Psychology of Women
Most meaningful to her, an award for Outstanding Contribution to Students from her students in Alaska.
