Kellas Hall

Room reservation is a process that current students will use in order to select their room assignment for the 2018-2019 room selection; all incoming first year and transfer students should complete the Housing Preference form

Current students should be advised of the following changes for the 2018-2019 academic year:

CHANGES TO THE 2018 ROOM SELECTION PROCESS

    • Students requiring special circumstance housing should work with Katherine Norman, Director of Disability Services, to establish what their needs are for the 2018-2019 semester. To ensure that we are able to accommodate your needs, your completed paperwork should be given to Katherine for approval no later than Friday, April 13th.  Katherine can be reached via email at [email protected].
    • ALL other students (including those in Albany wishing to live in UHCS) wishing to live on campus will need to participate in the housing lottery process. Lottery numbers will be assigned to students based on credit hours completed, and then randomly within those categories.
    • A lottery number alone does NOT guarantee you will be able to participate in the room reservation process. Students who wish to reserve a room must have NO holds on their student accounts and must be registered as a full-time student for the Fall 2018 semester.
    • There will be no option for residents to reserve their current rooms prior to the housing lottery. If a student wishes to remain in their current room they will need to select it during the room reservation process according to their lottery number.
    • Rising sophomores in Albany will be required to maintain a meal plan. All rising sophomores on the Albany campus will be assigned to the Suite 75 meal plan, though may select a higher meal plan if they wish. All students living on the Troy campus must select a meal plan.
    • Rooms must be filled to capacity in order to be reserved. This means that a student cannot reserve a double without a second roommate, or a triple room without two roommates.
