Dr. Mandviwala is an interdisciplinary scholar focusing on the intersection of culture, community, and gender within historically marginalized populations in the United States. She has published in Annual Review of Clinical Psychology, Current Opinion in Psychology, and Psychology and Society, and her book is titled South Asian American Stories of Self: The Dis/united States of Muslim Womanhood (Springer 2022).
In her classes, she wants her students to experience aha moments that link the knowledge they are learning in the classroom to their personal and professional lives.
