  • Commencement 2021

Sage is committed to a student-centered community celebration to honor our graduates in a new and innovative way this year. As long as public health guidance permits, Sage will host small, outdoor, on-campus gatherings for all 2020 and 2021 graduates on Tuesday, May 11 and Wednesday May 12. In response to the New York State guidelines updated on April 12, 2021, we have made significant changes to our May 11 and 12 Graduation Celebration Ceremonies. Our plans have been revised to allow each graduating student to have two guests attend the ceremony. We are also including an opportunity for graduates to walk across the stage as part of the ceremony and the events will be livestreamed, as well.

All students who would have been eligible to participate in the May 2020 and May 2021 commencement ceremonies received updated invitations to the outdoor ceremonies on Friday, April 16. Students will need to submit an online reservation request by April 21 to secure a seat at one of the 8 ceremonies:

    • Tuesday, May 11 at 9:00AM | 11:30AM | 2:00PM | 4:30PM
    • Wednesday, May 12 at 9:00AM | 11:30AM | 2:00PM | 4:30PM

These outdoor events will be hosted (rain or shine) in the Campus Quad at Russell Sage College’s Albany campus, and we plan to follow all public health guidance to ensure a safe event for all participants.  For more information about our plans to celebrate our amazing graduates, visit the Commencement 2021 Frequently Asked Questions page.

While our ceremonies will be smaller this year, we take great pride in recognizing your achievements and the beginning of your exciting new journey.
