Commencement 2025 – May 17, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
Russell Sage College will celebrate our 108th Commencement on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at MVP Arena in Albany. Graduates from August 2024, December 2024, May 2025, and anticipated August 2025 and December 2025 graduates who have been approved to “walk” at commencement will be invited to join the celebration. No tickets will be required for guests and there will be no limit on the number of guests a student can bring.
The Student Life Office sent out email invitations to the commencement ceremony with pertinent information and a request to RSVP to all eligible graduates and participants on February 28, 2025. Guests do not need to RSVP, but ALL invited graduates were asked to confirm their plans to participate in the ceremony or not by April 1. Those who did not RSVP by May 1 were removed from the commencement procession. Graduates whose plans have changed can notify the Dean of Students’ office at 518-244-2207 or [email protected].

The commencement ceremony will be streamed live online through the website linked below on May 17th. Check out the site early for additional information, honors, and awards.
Russell Sage College is excited to announce that Lucas Aurelio, alumnus of the Class of 2018 and rising star in television and film, will be the speaker at this year’s commencement ceremony. He will also receive an honorary doctoral degree from Russell Sage during the celebration.

Archived Webcasts
Our May 2021 graduation celebrations honored Sage graduates from August 2019/2020, December 2019/2020, and May 2020/2021. Sage hosted small, outdoor, on-campus gatherings for graduates and up to 2 guests on Tuesday, May 11 and Wednesday May 12.
