Commencement 2023
Russell Sage College will celebrate our August 2022, December 2022, and May 2023 graduates at the 106th Commencement on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the MVP Arena (formerly known as the Times Union Center) in the city of Albany. More information will be posted on this website in February 2023 and all eligible commencement participants will receive email updates from the Student Life Office beginning in March of 2023.
Commencement 2022
Russell Sage College conferred more than 400 degrees and certificates at our 105th Commencement on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 6 p.m. at the MVP Arena (formerly known as the Times Union Center) in the city of Albany. The ceremony was livestreamed and a recording is also available to view.
All undergraduate and graduate students who completed their requirements in August and December of 2021 and May of 2022 were invited to participate. Tickets were not needed for this event and graduates did not have a limit on the number of guests they could bring.
The Student Life Office sent detailed information about the commencement ceremony to all eligible participants as of March 1. Graduates were required to confirm their participation in the commencement ceremony by April 1.
Contact the Office of Student Life with any questions regarding commencement at 518-244-2207 or [email protected] or visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
Archived Webcasts
Our May 2021 graduation celebrations honored Sage graduates from August 2019/2020, December 2019/2020, and May 2020/2021. Sage hosted small, outdoor, on-campus gatherings for graduates and up to 2 guests on Tuesday, May 11 and Wednesday May 12.
While our ceremonies were smaller this past year, we took great pride in recognizing our students’ achievements and the beginning of their exciting new journey into an ever-changing world. The events were livestreamed, as well, and archived videos of these celebrations are available to view on the Russell Sage College Celebrations channel on YouTube.
Video from past Commencement ceremonies (2019 and prior) at the Houston Field House is available at our Webcast Archive.
