Commencement 2024 – SAVE THE DATE!
Russell Sage College will celebrate our 107th Commencement on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 6 p.m. at the MVP Arena (formerly known as the Times Union Center) in the city of Albany. Tickets are not needed for this event and graduates do not have a limit on the number of guests they can bring.
All eligible graduates from August 2023, December 2023, and May 2024 will receive email invitations from the Student Life Office by March 1 with further details. Review our Commencement FAQ page or email [email protected] with any questions.
Commencement 2023
Russell Sage College held our 106th Commencement on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the MVP Arena in the city of Albany. All undergraduate and graduate students who completed their requirements in August 2022, December 2022, and May 2023 were invited to participate. In addition, students who were on track to graduate in August 2023 and December 2023 and who have been approved by the registrar’s office as meeting participation requirements were also permitted to attend the ceremony.

The Commencement ceremony was available to view online live during the ceremony and the recording is now available to view on Russell Sage College’s YouTube Channel.
Photographers from Genesee Photography captured the moments when graduates crossed and exited the stage. Graduates can view their Commencement 2023 Photos online.
The Student Life Office provided detailed information via email about the commencement ceremony to those graduates who RSVPd and indicated that they plan to attend the ceremony, including the Russell Sage College Grad Guide to Commencement 2023. In addition, all graduates were invited to attend an optional information session about Commencement 2023 on Thursday, May 11 at 4 p.m. You can access a recording of the session or a PDF of the presentation for more information.
Prior Commencement Ceremonies
Russell Sage College conferred more than 400 degrees and certificates at our 105th Commencement on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 6 p.m. at the MVP Arena (formerly known as the Times Union Center) in the city of Albany. The ceremony was livestreamed and a recording is also available to view.
Archived Webcasts
Our May 2021 graduation celebrations honored Sage graduates from August 2019/2020, December 2019/2020, and May 2020/2021. Sage hosted small, outdoor, on-campus gatherings for graduates and up to 2 guests on Tuesday, May 11 and Wednesday May 12.
