Albany and Troy, NY – Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for two-year colleges, has named Russell Sage College to its 2026 Transfer Honor Roll. This marks the seventh consecutive year PTK has recognized Russell Sage for providing a supportive, seamless transition for transfer students.
Why Russell Sage College Ranks as a Top Transfer School
The PTK Transfer Honor Roll recognizes the top 25% of highest-rated higher education institutions in the nation. To determine the rankings, PTK evaluates key transfer metrics using data from the National Student Clearinghouse and PTK Connect, including:
- College cost and financial aid availability
- Generous transfer credit policies and admissions practices
- Campus life and support dedicated to transfer students
- Bachelor’s degree completion rates
Just 275 colleges and universities across the United States made the 2026 Transfer Honor Roll. Russell Sage College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) are the only two colleges in New York’s Capital Region to receive this recognition.
